How do we get started? First, contact me for a consultation! My initial consultation lasts about an hour, and it is typically complimentary.
Before our initial consultation, collect some decorating magazines or design books. Mark photographs that reflect room styles, color palettes, furnishings, window treatments, flooring, and wall covering that appeal to you. This pre-planning will make it easier for you to communicate your likes and dislikes to me.
Next, evaluate your present furnishing and decide what you would like to keep, eliminate, and repurpose. Which room is your first priority? What budget have you established? Do you have a deadline?
After the initial consultation, you'll decide whether to hire me to assist with your project. When we agree to proceed, I'll collect a retainer that may be applied to your project costs within 90 days. And you'll receive a written explanation of my full range of services and terms before we officially begin our work together.
Some projects involve product purchases from Decorating Den, while others call primarily for design advice. (Examples of such projects include remodels, paint color consultation, space planning, local shopping, etc.) Every design project is unique, and I will customize my approach to meet your needs.
My goal is to help you move forward with confidence and enjoy the process too. And most importantly... to never lose sight of the fact that your home should always be a reflection of you.
