As I've stated before, the most enjoyable part of my job is meeting exciting and interesting people and helping them create the home of their dreams. This project was particularly rewarding on both counts. It was such a pleasure getting to know this young proffessional couple and helping them design a living room for entertaining their friends and family. It was time to get rid of furniture they had since college. They wanted pieces of exceptional quality that reflected their taste and style. In addition, they wanted to update the paint colors and replace the space heater and brick fireplace. The results were truely spectacular! The color pallette of grey and white with orange and green accents was selected. Rich textured fabrics were selected for chairs and window treatments. Dark woods on the exposed surface areas of the sofa, end tables, and bookshelf accentuated the pieces they elected to keep. The look on their faces during the moment of the "Big Reveal" says it all. |
