For many of my customers, it's their first time to work with a decorator. For some of my clients, the fact that I did NOT charge a consultation or design fee meant that they could afford to work with me. For other clients, money was not a concern; they needed expertise to create their dream home. And still, for others...they didn't have time to run from store to store so they needed someone to pull it all together for them. Whatever YOUR reason for choosing to work with a decorator, you will be glad you did because the results are AMAZING! In the last twenty years, I've helped nearly 1,000 households decorate. From small jobs to large ones, the process was the same...understand what the client wants, create a design they love, and implement the design quickly and within budget...without problems or unexpected charges. This is my central business philosophy and the many repeat clients are a testament to my ability, expertise, commitment, and work ethic. Many people ask how I got started as an Interior Decorator. Here is the short version: I owned a real estate company in Hong Kong for eleven years. My clients were ex-pats from all over the world with no local contacts. They needed someone to manage renovations and help decorate. Given my passion for decorating it was easy for me to oblige so I comingled my real estate business with my love for interior decorating. When I moved from Hong Kong to Colorado I worked for a builder in much the same capacity and for one of Vail Valley's premier interior design firms. In 2002 I moved to Baton Rouge (where my husband grew up) and worked for a large corporation in its custom decorating department. Finally, in 2008 I decided it was time to pursue the great American Dream by owing my own business. I purchased a Decorating Den Interiors franchise and haven't looked back! My first year in business was so successful that by 2010 my husband and I purchased the franchise development rights for SE Louisiana and became Regional Managers for New Orleans and Lafayette. I am proud to say that I have built an incredible team of professionals who support me and that I use local products, workrooms, and service professionals whenever possible. The reason for this is simple...I have high standards for the quality of the products and services I provide that carry my name and have found that the people who live and work here produce the best results. |
