Jackie Moyer, ASID, AIDP, has been professionally involved in interior design for ten years. After her retirement from the U.S. Department of State, she decided to exploit her artistic side and attended Marymount University, graduating with a BA in Interior Design. She has worked as an Interior Designer at a leading local retail furniture store, with a private design firm, and opened her INTERIORS by Decorating Den franchise in 2007.
While everyone wants a lovely home, Jackie firmly believes that design must serve function as well as please the eye. It must fit the needs of the people who live there as well as define the resident's personality and style. She stands by her design philosophy: "Beautiful space achieved through professional design and attention to detail" and applies it to every project.
Jackie loves working with unusual accessories and furniture -- a talent enhanced by her foreign travels. She sees beauty in massive doses of color as well as monochromatic and neutral schemes. It is all about the client and how they want to express themselves --peaceful and serene or wild and exciting!
Recognizing the importance of staying current in her field, Jackie is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the Association of Interior Design Professionals (AIDP), is a licensed Interior Designer in Washington, DC, and a Certified Interior Designer in Virginia and Maryland. |
