My van is a mobile showroom, offering my customers the convenience of store-to-door comparison shopping. I carry hundreds of color, paint, fabric, drapery and wallpaper samples, all of which you can look at under your own natural lighting. For you, this means no more wasted hours running from store to store, no more guesswork about what “ matches” or doesn’t and, perhaps most importantly, no more buyer’s regret. I also have access to over 100 respected furnishings manufacturers nationwide, allowing you to select from a wide variety of high quality products in nearly any price range. With such a huge product assortment to choose from, I'm absolutely confident of finding the perfect design solution for your every need. How do I work? Step One – The Initial Complimentary Consultation The first visit is on me. I'll spend 30 to 90 minutes (depending on the size of your project) taking a tour of your home as you acquaint me with your ideas, needs and preferences. I’ll take measurements and photos, and ask about your basic lifestyle and priorities – how you entertain, how best to meet the needs of others important in your life (including elderly parents, clients, kids and pets,) and ultimately how you want your home to “feel.” Of course I'll also ask about your color preferences, taste in furnishings, preferred motif and budget range. This initial visit will also give you the opportunity to size me up without obligation or financial risk and decide if we “click.” Working with a professional decorator should be a totally enjoyable process, but nothing will be accomplished if you believe your decorator doesn’t get what you want, or in any way makes you feel uncomfortable or intimidated. Once I've gathered the necessary information, and we mutually decide we’re a good fit, I’ll set up a second appointment to go over some specific design ideas for your home. Step Two – The Design Presentation On the second appointment, I’ll be prepared to show you a choice of layouts, color boards and possible products for your design. It is so much easier for you to make good decisions when you can actually see how particular colors, fabrics, wallpapers, rugs, etc., will look in your home or office, under your lighting and alongside any existing furnishings you decide to keep. Step Three – Fabrication Once you sign off on your project, I will take care of the legwork and manage all the details. This includes, but is not limited to, product search and ordering, custom ordering, coordinating with manufacturers and fabricators, tracking shipments, and monitoring time lines, deadlines and budget considerations. Step Four – Installation I will always be on hand to supervise the delivery, assembly and installation of any products I order for your design. That means you will never be left with unexpected delivery arrivals, wondering where everything is supposed to go and how and when it will be installed. Step Five – Follow-up After you’ve had a chance to live with your new design, I’ll check back to make sure you’re perfectly happy with the results. And I will always be there for you if questions or problems arise. Everything about my business is custom, from initial design planning through installation. My mission is to create beautiful rooms and happy customers, and I promise you a delightful design experience! *Certain design fees may apply for those clients who only require space planning or color coordinating services, or consultations about new construction or rebuilding projects.
